It's been months since I have been active with this site and with photography. Inspiration is still there but I must get out and about again or it will go away. Here are some shots of people I made at Tybee Island back in 2016.
During a recent visit to Tybee Island Beach in South Carolina, I made this photo of a raven hanging around below the pier. I rented a Fujifilm X100S for my trip and used it for this shot. The camera is ok. It took more time than I wanted to get used to it.
Even though no Civil War battles were fought in York County, South Carolina, Historic Brattonsville hosts a reenactment every. Whenever these reenactments happen such as this one or a Revolutionary War reenactment, the participants must rough it for a couple of days. Meaning, luxuries of life we are used to are not to be used. Such as cellphones. You light your way and cook with fire. There you go. Here are some scenes I captured this year.
The photos were made using my Nikon D5100 with an 18-70mm lens, all settings manual. To give the photos a dated appearance I used a preset made by VSCO Supply Co. and made adjustments to highlights and contrast where I liked.
