I'm quite enjoying film photography. So much that it's been awhile since I picked up my Nikon D5100 to make photos. The photo above was made with film during my trip to Ohio with my wife Fourth of July weekend. A friend of ours is mentoring the young lads in the photo. I had them pose for a shot and I'm please with the result. I use Kodak Portra 400 for color shots. I've not found a black and white film that I love. Well, I actually did find one, but it's no longer being made. It was the BW400CN by Kodak.
Another favorite shot from my trip to Ohio is the one below of Artie, who I mentioned above, and his dad. It's one of those moments in time you have to be ready for when you have camera in hand. Henri Cartier-Bresson referred to this as the decisive moment.
