Photography My Passion
My interest in photography goes back to when I was in elementary school. One year I had a photography class that taught us how to use a film camera and also how to develop the film. Between 1993-1995 while I was in Europe, I had a small film camera from which I made a good number of photos. After I returned to the States I didn't doe much with photography until I owned my first iPhone. Since then I've unlocked a passion for making photos. For the most part, mobile photography had been my focus, until late 2013 when I moved from making only mobile photos to using a Canon S100 point and shoot. Then I moved on to making photos with a Nikon D5100. Late 2014 a friend gave me a film camera, rekindling my joy of making film photos. Now I mix it up between making digital photos and film photos. The theme that intrigues me the most is street photography. Capturing life on the streets with a camera offers powerful stories that need no words to tell them. In addition to capturing the beauty of people and scenes in cities, I enjoy making photos of things vintage, rusted and Americana. I hope to eventually get into concert photography.
